I grew up with a love of films and cartoons, looking back at some of these that I enjoyed most as a child I noticed the amount of fictitious food and drink products used and how much I wanted them to be real. This sparked my imagination.

 

Rugrats was one of my favourite childhood shows, I wanted to recreate the packaging for the imaginary Reptar Bar featured in the show, bringing it into the real world but with a fresh design. I wanted to keep the logo as simple and clean as possible but with a childlike softness.
 

The colour palette was inspired by the original Reptar toy character, keeping them bright but not neon. I redrew Reptar using the colour palette and simple block shapes.
